Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
We are grateful to our donors for their generous support of the People's Accords and take strides to ensure their positive impact on the world through our work is both qualitative and quantitative in nature.
Please see the below Key Performance Indicators and Return on Investment measures for each focus area to understand how we measure progress and track success.
SDG 1: No Poverty
KPI 1: Percentage of households that have moved out of poverty: This metric measures the success of the poverty reduction project in terms of the number of households that have achieved a level of income or consumption above the poverty line as a result of the project.
KPI 2: Increase in average income or consumption levels of targeted households: This metric measures the extent to which the poverty reduction project has increased the financial well-being of the households it is targeting.
KPI 3: Reduction in the poverty gap: The poverty gap is a measure of the distance between the poverty line and the actual income or consumption levels of poor households. A reduction in the poverty gap indicates that the poverty reduction project is effectively reducing the severity of poverty among targeted households.
SDG 2: Goal: End Hunger
KPI 1: Percentage of households experiencing food insecurity: This metric measures the success of the hunger reduction project in terms of the number of households that have sufficient access to food as a result of the project.
KPI 2: Reduction in the prevalence of malnutrition: Malnutrition, including undernutrition and micronutrient deficiencies, is a major contributor to hunger and is often used as an indicator of food insecurity. Measuring the prevalence of malnutrition among targeted households can help to assess the effectiveness of the hunger reduction project in addressing this issue.
KPI 3: Increase in the availability and diversity of nutritious foods: Ensuring that households have access to a varied and nutritious diet is an important aspect of reducing hunger. Measuring the availability and diversity of nutritious foods in the community can help to assess the success of the hunger reduction project in improving the overall food environment.
SDG 3: Quality Health Care
KPI 1: Increase in the utilization of health care services: This metric measures the success of the health care enhancement project in terms of the number of people who are accessing and using health care services as a result of the project.
KPI 2: Improvement in health outcomes: Health outcomes are a measure of the effectiveness of health care in improving the health and well-being of individuals and communities. Measuring health outcomes, such as the prevalence of certain diseases or the infant mortality rate, can help to assess the success of the health care enhancement project in improving the health of targeted populations.
KPI 3: Increase in the availability and accessibility of health care services: Ensuring that individuals and communities have access to high-quality health care services is an important aspect of improving overall health. Measuring the availability and accessibility of health care services in the community can help to assess the success of the health care enhancement project in this regard.
SDG 4: Inclusive and Equitable Education
KPI 1: Percentage of children attending school: This metric measures the success of the inclusive and equitable education project in terms of the number of children who are enrolled in and attending school as a result of the project.
KPI 2: Improvement in academic achievement: Academic achievement is a measure of the knowledge and skills that students acquire through their education. Measuring academic achievement, such as test scores or grades, can help to assess the effectiveness of the education project in improving the quality of education for targeted children.
KPI 3: Reduction in dropout rates: Dropout rates measure the number of students who leave school before completing their education. A reduction in dropout rates can indicate that the inclusive and equitable education project is effectively supporting children to stay in school and complete their education.
SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation
KPI 1: Increase in the percentage of households with access to clean water: This metric measures the success of the clean water and sanitation project in terms of the number of households that have access to clean and safe drinking water as a result of the project.
KPI 2: Improvement in water quality: Water quality is a measure of the physical, chemical, and biological characteristics of water. Measuring the quality of water in the community can help to assess the effectiveness of the clean water and sanitation project in improving the safety and suitability of the water supply.
KPI 3: Increase in the use of improved sanitation facilities: Improved sanitation facilities are hygienic and safe to use, and their use can help to reduce the transmission of waterborne diseases. Measuring the use of improved sanitation facilities in the community can help to assess the success of the clean water and sanitation project in this regard.
SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy
KPI 1: Increase in the percentage of households with access to clean energy: This metric measures the success of the affordable clean energy project in terms of the number of households that have access to clean and renewable energy sources as a result of the project.
KPI 2: Reduction in energy poverty: Energy poverty is a measure of the inability of households to afford or access sufficient energy to meet their basic needs. Measuring the prevalence of energy poverty in the community can help to assess the effectiveness of the affordable clean energy project in addressing this issue.
KPI 3: Reduction in greenhouse gas emissions: Greenhouse gas emissions are a major contributor to climate change and have a range of negative impacts on human health and the environment. Measuring the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions resulting from the affordable clean energy project can help to assess its success in addressing this global issue.
SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
KPI 1: Increase in the gross domestic product (GDP): GDP is a measure of the total value of goods and services produced within a country over a specific period of time. An increase in GDP can indicate that the economic growth project is effectively supporting the expansion of the economy.
KPI 2: Increase in employment: Employment is a measure of the number of people who are working and contributing to the economy. An increase in employment can indicate that the economic growth project is creating new job opportunities and supporting the growth of the labor force.
KPI 3: Increase in per capita income: Per capita income is a measure of the average income of individuals in a given population. An increase in per capita income can indicate that the economic growth project is supporting the growth of incomes and improving the financial well-being of the population.
SDG 9. Goal: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure
KPI 1: Increase in patent applications and grants: Patent applications and grants are indicators of the level of innovation and technological development in a given industry. An increase in patent applications and grants can indicate that the industry innovation project is supporting the development and commercialization of new technologies.
KPI 2: Increase in the number of start-ups and small businesses: Start-ups and small businesses are often at the forefront of innovation and can drive the growth of an industry. Measuring the number of start-ups and small businesses that are established or supported by the industry innovation project can help to assess its success in fostering innovation.
KPI 3: Increase in the adoption of new technologies: The adoption of new technologies can drive efficiency and productivity improvements in an industry. Measuring the adoption of new technologies by businesses and organizations in the industry can help to assess the success of the industry innovation project in this regard.
SDG 11. Goal: Sustainable Cities and Communities
KPI 1: Increase in the use of sustainable transportation: Sustainable transportation refers to modes of transportation that are environmentally friendly and reduce the use of fossil fuels. Measuring the use of sustainable transportation in the community can help to assess the success of the sustainable cities and communities project in this regard.
KPI 2: Reduction in waste and resource consumption: Reducing waste and resource consumption is an important aspect of sustainability. Measuring the reduction in waste and resource consumption in the community can help to assess the success of the sustainable cities and communities project in this regard.
