Quality Education
QUALITY EDUCATION FOR OUT-OF-SCHOOL CHILDREN
OBJECTIVE AND PURPOSE
The objective of this project is to provide quality education to underprivileged children in Nigeria, in line with the Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) - Quality Education. The project aims to improve the overall learning outcomes and well-being of children who are not receiving adequate education due to various socio-economic factors.
RESEARCH AND BACKGROUND:
Nigeria is one of the countries with the highest number of out-of-school children, which affects their educational and personal growth. According to the United Nations, Nigeria has about 10.5 million out-of-school children, making it the highest in the world. This is due to various factors such as poverty, insecurity, cultural practices, and inadequate school infrastructure. Additionally, the COVID-19 pandemic has further disrupted the education system, with a significant number of children dropping out of school or facing learning challenges due to school closures. To address this issue, the project will focus on providing access to quality education through innovative solutions such as digital learning platforms, providing learning materials, and teacher training programs.

Methods
The Instructional technology tools (laptop, projector, screen, and generator) will help provide a wide range of learning resources such as video tutorials, interactive quizzes, games, and other learning content which is aimed at improving the learning outcomes of children. The learning materials will include textbooks, notebooks, and stationery items. The teacher training program will be designed to equip teachers with the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver quality education to their students.
The community is an important part of our plan and would be carried along in its implementation. The project will be carried out in a rural community in Nigeria with a high population of out-of-school children, targeting 100 children. We will collaborate with local government and local community leaders to identify the most suitable locations.
3. The project will involve setting up a classroom in a community center. We will provide educational materials and teachers who will deliver quality education to the children.
The program will run from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 1 pm, and will cover basic subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Science for the basic education level. This proposed time for this project is 3 months but, can be extended based on community investment, partnerships and sponsorships.
